Based in Lagos for the past few years, Lamia is originally from Morocco and grew up in Paris. Growing up, hair was always a big issue : people randomly touching it and making fun of it, no product adapted for their care available in the regular stores....it was hard to feel pretty and confident ! In high school, she finally said no to flat iron and relaxer, refusing to entertain this life of doing things because of people's opinions, and decided to do some research on her hair needs. T
he information that gave her that passion for natural products is that : 60% of what you put on top of your skin or hair goes directly in your blood. The natural hair produtcs you could find in Paris at the time were usually coming from the US, and were super expensive. To cut costs, she started experimenting recipes in her kitchen and slowly came up with a whole line of products for herself. Later on, in Uni, she started doing Hair to make some money on the side, and was using her own products on her customers. This is how ASILI was born ! Customers would love it so much that they started ordering, and few years later, she's finally able to officially put it out there ! ✨
